After a convincing 48 runs win in the first game, India A will look to make it two in a row when both the teams face each other at the same venue on Saturday morning. After a delayed start, India posted a good total of 317-4 on the back of Ruturaj Gaikwad’s unbeaten 187 of 136 deliveries. Anmolpreet Singh (65) and skipper Ishan Kishan (45) were the other contributors with the bat while Lahiru Kumara was the pick of the bowlers for Sri Lanka after returning with 3-62 in nine overs.
In reply, riding on Shehan Jayasuriya’s unbeaten ton (108 of 120), Sri Lanka managed 269-6 in 42 overs. Mayank Markande bagged two wickets for India and was the pick of the bowlers for the hosts.
Both the teams will be hoping for a full game on Saturday.
The clash will begin at 09:00 AM IST.
Despite the rain pouring at the start of the game, 300 runs were scored in both the innings in first ODI. So, expect another high-scoring encounter as the surface is more of a flat track which will assist batsmen at first place.
