Welcome to our Preview for ENG vs NZ 3rd ODI. The match will be played at the Westpac Stadium, Wellington and this is our Dream11 probable playing XI for England vs New Zealand 3rd ODI.
After the Australian tour, England is ready to take on the neighboring nation New Zealand. These two will play a 5-match ODI series followed by two Tests. The 3rd ODI begins tomorrow.
There has also been a stark contrast in the performances of the two teams in the series to date which is currently level at 1-1. New Zealand were smart and clinical in their victory in Hamilton and England sloppy, but at Westpac Stadium , the tourists oozed energy and intent to comprehensively defeat the hosts who were oftentimes self-destructive. In Wellington, both teams will want to show that it was their victories which are the more accurate measure of their abilities in this format.
New Zealand’s recent record at Westpac is poor with just one win from the last five ODIs hosted at the ground although they beat England there in the recent T20I series. England have never won an ODI at this venue and the last time they played New Zealand there was during the 2015 World Cup when the visitors were embarrassed, bowled out for just 123 with New Zealand chasing it down inside 13 overs. A few days later, Sri Lanka chased down 309 against England for the loss of just one wicket.
With this lost NZ miss their 10 ODI win record as they lost first one day this year. Ben Stokes all round effort adjudged him man of the match as England needed him for ICC World Cup 2019. Colin Munro and Henry Nicholls has not fired in two match and NZ will expect them to contribute. England sitting at third position in ICC ODI Team Rankings. With a win in the series by huge gap say 4-1 might pass them for second spot.
With two teams high in confidence, this series is set for some super clashes ahead.
