ENG vs NED
Great Britain will lock horns with the Netherlands for the bronze medal in the FIH Pro League. World number 2 Australia took on Great Britain to outplay them 1-6 and the Netherlands lost to the world champions Belgium 3-1 to set the stage for the final battle for the third-place finish.
Great Britain took on Australia for making a cut into the final and Ashley Jackson scored the solitary goal for the team as well. However, it was not enough as Kookaburras won the match by a difference of 5 goals. In the second clash too, tempers flared as the Netherlands took on Belgium. But, Belgium’s Thomas Briels and Netherlands’ Jorrit Croon were taken out of the field as they sustained injuries. It meant that both the teams played with 10 players and the red lions capitalized on every opportunity to outplay their rivals.
When they meet this time around, both the teams will meet with one motive and that will be winning.
