The tri-series between England, New Zealand and South Africa women team has reached the climax. England won three out of its four matches and stamped their spot in the final. New Zealand women won two and lost two matches and ended ahead of South Africa. This now sets up the final between EN-W vs NZ-W.
The same team clashed in the last match of the group round. New Zealand-W batted first and collapsed. Sophie Devine at the top scored a magnificent 52 in 45 balls. She and Satterthwaite stitched a 59-run partnership but there was no show after that and NZ-W was all out for 129. The bowling effort was dismal with only Jess Watkins picking two wickets.
England-W bowlers bowled extremely well in their innings. Anya Shrubsole picked up 3/16 and Danielle Hazell took 2/21 in four overs to stop NZ-W. Brunt and George bowled with discipline. The chase was led by Sarah Taylor and Natalie Sciver. Captain Heather Knight then completed the win.

NZ dropped Lea Tahuhu, Anna Peterson and Leigh Kasperek in the last match to give a chance to Jess Watkins, Hannah Rowe and K Ebrahim. Watkins performed really well and is likely to retain her place. Rowe and Ebrahim are likely to be dropped again in favor of Leigh Kasperek and Lea Tahuhu.
