Dijon will be taking on Paris Saint Germain on Wednesday for the upcoming fixture in the French Cup. The winner of the game will enter the semi-finals, however, Dijon will have to pull the rabbit out of the hat if they are to register a win against the mighty PSG unit. In terms of the standings in Ligue 1, PSG sits comfortably at the top with 61 points, whereas, Dijon is 17th in the league with just 25 points on board. The domestic champions, PSG should be shuffling the pack in order to give opportunities to non-regular players.

Alfred Gomis was forced off in Dijon’s 3-3 draw with Nantes and could be on the sidelines against PSG. Stephy Mavididi was recently brought in on loan from Juventus and could get to start for the hosts. Head-coach Stephbe Jobard will be without Nayef Aguerd and Frederic Sammaritano too due to injuries. Jhonder Cadiz should be leading the line of attack, with Chouiar, Somare and Mavdidi fitting in at advanced roles.

Neymar missed out the last two fixtures dut an injury and should be given further rest. Former Manchester United midfielder, Ander Herrera could be given the nod to start. Marquinhos and Abdou Diallo are on the sidelines as well, while, Thiago Silva, Colin Dagba and Juan Bernat are all ruled out for Thomas Tuchel due to injury concerns. Meanwhile, veteran centre-forward Edison Cavani could be getting a rare start alongside Pablo Sarabia.

Stephy Mavididi has five goals, an assist and a pass accuracy of 81.2% from 20 appearances in the French League.
Angel Di Maria can be a real asset in the advanced role for PSG. The Argentine international has eight goals, 11 assists and a pass accuracy of 78.7% from 23 appearances in the league this season.
From the previous six encounters between the two clubs, it’s PSG that has the upper hand with five wins in contrast to Dijon’s one win.
Paris Saint-Germain are the clear cut favourites to register the win.
