Two of the powerful forces in the Western Conference will open their season against each other as Portland Trail Blazers host Denver Nuggets in the first game of the 2019-20 season at Moda Center, in Oakland.
Nuggets had a memorable campaign last year as they registered a 54-28 win-loss record last season in the 2018-19 regular season, finishing 2nd and behind only Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference.

Portland Trail Blazers start the new campaign with an aim to emulate the success of last season. For the first time in three years, the Blazers got past the first round and went afar to the conference finals where they lost 4-0 to the Warriors.
With the core of the team still remaining in Portland, and considering the experience of last season, there is a belief that the team can take that extra step forward this season.
