Batting first, Lokesh Rahul scored another fifty and was supported by Gayle and Agarwal. David Miller also played good knock of 40 runs. However, A 4 ball-17 run cameo from Ashwin led KXIP to 182 runs. Defending the target, Debutant Arshdeep bowled brilliant taking crucial scalps of Buttler and Rahane while Ashwin and Shami also took similar two wickets each to successfully defend the target. Punjab will have momentum on their side after defeating Delhi earlier in the season and will be determined to give a tough challenge to Delhi Capitals.

Kings XI Punjab:
Punjab have few injury concerns for Mujeeb, Moises Henriques and Varun Chakravarthy.
Mujeeb got injured in the last match while fielding. If fit, He will continue or else Sam Curran can take his place.
Moises Henriques was set to debut for KXIP in the last match but got injured while warming up. He can replace Nicholas Pooran if fit to play. Even Karun Nair can play.
Sarfaraz Khan can replace Mandeep Singh considering his better form against spin.
Chris Gayle and KL Rahul are likely to open the innings. Mayank Agarwal and D Miller will follow them.
Ravi Ashwin will play the role of an allrounder.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Murugan Ashwin will lead the spin attack while M Shami and Arshdeep Singh will be the key pacers.
