Chinese Super League action returns for the bottom-placed Beijing Renhe as they play host to Chongqing Lifan in the league this weekend at Beijing Fengtai Stadium.
With the season well and truly heading to its culmination, the shape of the table is starting to become more clear and it doesn’t bode well for Beijing Renhe FC.
As things stand, Renhe are currently rooted at the foot of the table and sit at a huge 7 points away from the safety. But there’s still a lot to play for the teams, and even for Renhe.
The reason being the second last team gets another shot at the safety via the relegation playoff, and Renhe should target to catch Tianjin Quanjian FC. But the gap between them and Quanjian is six points and wfor them to evaporate, a winning run is needed from Renhe.
For Chongqing Lifan, meanwhile, are hovering in the middle of the table and have no relegation worries. The target for them should be to break into the top half of the table.

Centre-back Rao Weihui remains has been ruled out for Beijing Renhe FC due to a persisting injury. The 30-year-old is recovering from a knee injury he suffered in June this year.
But the hosts are set to welcome back Du Wenyang who returns from suspension. He battles with Liu Boyang for a place at left-back.
We expect Luis García to stick with the same playing 11 which lost 1-2 to Hebei CFFC in the last game.
