Hello and Welcome to our preview for Central Stags vs Wellington Firebirds match. We are covering CD vs WEL Dream11 Team Prediction, Preview and Probable Playing XI for the Super Smash 2018-19 match. The match is to be played at the Pukekura Park, New Plymouth.
Central Stags began the Super Smash 2018-19 with an away win but fell short in their home game. Playing against Auckland Aces, the Stags folded up in 107 runs while batting first. Eight of their batsmen went back to the pavilion for a single digit score. Will Young, George Worker and Noema-Barnett got into the 20s. Ben Wheeler and Doug Bracewell made a match of it but the total was too less.
Wellington Firebirds are yet to taste victory. After three matches, they have two losses and one washed out the game. They now face Stags at their home ground. Firebirds fell agonizingly short against Otago. James Neesham’s four-wicket haul meant Wellington had to chase 168. After a 100-run opening partnership between Conway and Bracewell, they fell away in a collapse. In the last over, they needed 11 runs to win but they could manage only nine.
These two teams now square off against each other. Stags will be seeking to make the most of their home advantage while Wellington will be wanting to script their first win.
