Captain Tom Bruce played the knock of his life and scored a brilliant 88 from 52 balls to take the side home. Doug Bracewell supported him.
Auckland Aces faced Wellington in the first match. However, the match was abandoned with incessant rain. Even the toss did not take place. The Auckland side is full of superstars and will be the favorites to win the competition.
