Brooklyn Nets will look for their only 2nd win in five matches when they host New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA regular season matchup at Barclays Center, in Brooklyn, on Tuesday morning (IST). Nets come into this match on a very bad run, while Pelicans are not performing at the desired level in the early going.
But it’s the Nets who will be more disappointed from their start to the new season. They are 2-3 from the first six games despite Kyrie Irving playing all the games. Though, Irving has been in red hot form, but it’s the support which has left both him and the team down so far this season.
As far as pelicans are concerned, they headed into the new season without All-Star Anthony Davis. The monster player that Davis is, is hard to be replaced, but the Pelicans have all the reasons to look at the future with optimism after they managed to capture Zion Williamson in the draft pick. While the addition of Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball has only exceeded the expectations from the team.

Brooklyn Nets Team News:
Kevin Durant said recently during an interview that he doesn’t think it’s possible for him to play this season. The 31-year-old, who opted for free agency in the off-season to join Brooklyn Nets from Golden States Warriors, is recovering from an Achilles injury he suffered in NBA finals last year. Meanwhile, Wilson Chandler remains suspended and won’t feature here.
Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson used only 9 players in the last game, one less than the Houston Rockets match. Dzanan Musa, Dawid Nwaba and Theo Pinson remain on the fringes of rotation.
New Orleans Pelicans Team News:
For Pelicans, the biggest setback when the season began was Zion Williamson’s injury which he suffered in one of the games in the preseason. Pelicans have high hopes from their first-round pick star. In addition, Darius Miller remains out due to an Achilles Tendon injury.
Brandon Ingram suffered a head injury in the first half against Oklahoma City Thunder and didn’t return. The former Los Angeles Lakers star will be monitored before the game.
Derrick Favors is listed as questionable due to a knee injury.
