Australia and Pakistan have already booked their place in the final of the tournament and this is the last match before the final. Australia lost to Pakistan today while Zimbabwe suffered the same result yesterday.

Zimbabwe has lost all three matches that they have played in the series so far. Their first two matches were disappointing and they conceded heavy defeats. Zimbabwe showed signs of improvement in their last match yesterday against Pakistan and performed better. They scored a promising score of 162/4 with Solomon Mire’s brilliant 94. But Pakistan batting overhauled it.

Australia lost against Pakistan today and it was a heavy loss. Batting first, Pakistan piled up a huge score of 194/7. Andrew Tye was the pick of the bowlers with another three-wicket haul in his kitty. The Australian batting collapsed with the fall of Aaron Finch and only wicket-keeper Alex Carey contributed significantly. The Aussies lost by 45 runs.

• Australia did not make any changes to their playing XI from the last match. This being the last chance of a trial, Australia will consider giving chances to the bench players.
• All the reserves are bowlers so there are chances of Stanlake being rested in place of Jack Wildermuth. Wildermuth has not made his international debut yet.
• Alex Carey batted well today and he was an opener for his Big Bash team. Aus could promote Carey at the top with Short batting at number three.
• Spinner Ashton Agar can be replaced with the leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson.

ZIM:

• In the last match, Zimbabwe replaced Ryan Burl with the opener Cephas Zhuwao. He batted well initially and later struggled against the spinners. Yet he is likely to retain his spot.
• Other than that no changes look imminent after their decent showing against Pakistan. They may want to try Tiripano in place of Muzarabani.
