AUS vs IND Today Match Prediction : Australia will take on India in the first Test match at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide from Thursday, December 17 onwards. This Test will be a day night Test and will be played with pink ball. Both the sides did well in the limited overs and now set to fight in the four Tests series. India won the series last time in 2018-19 and they will look to continue from where they left while Australia will look for revenge.

Strengths :
Australia’s strength is the batting unit of Marnus Labuschange, Steven Smith, Travis Head and Matthew Wade and the powerful bowling attack of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon. Labuschange and Smith this duo have the capability to score big runs and can take the match away from opposition on their own and they will be the key in the batting and then in the bowling their pacers can trouble any batting line up with their high pace and short bowling and spinner Nathan Lyon is a wicket taker.
On the other hand, India’s strength is the batting line up of Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Ajinjya Rahane. All these batsmen have done well in Australia. Especially Pujara who scored close to 600 runs last time and Kohli who is a run machine in this format as well and this duo will be the backbone of Indian batting and then in the bowling they have Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami who is a wicket taking pair and then in spin they have Ravichandran Ashwin.
Weaknesses :
Australia’s weakness is their opening pair as Warner is ruled out of this Test and the likes of Joe Burns and Marcus Harris are struggling for form and the in the lower order Travis Head and Matthew Wade have been inconsistent and if Green has no experience of this format.
On the other hand, India’s weakness is their bowling as Ishant Sharma isn’t here and in his absence India will struggle to make a pace trio and their spinners have struggled outside Asia so there will be a lot of pressure on Ashwin.
