The long Indian tour is now winding up and all that is left to be played is one ODI. However, it will still be an intriguing battle since the series is tied up at 1-1. The T20I series was held 1-1 by the rain and the Indian team emerged victorious in the Test series by 2-1. The final ODI will decide the series winner.
Australia won the toss in the second ODI and once again batted first. After losing out-of-form openers early, Marsh and Khawaja steadied the ship. Shaun Marsh batted tremendously well and his 131 helped Aussies post 298/9. Maxwell supported with 48. The bowling was dismal as no one gave an outstanding performance.
India chased the total of 299 comfortably with its batting lineup standing firmly. The openers gave a good start, MS Dhoni gave good support, Dinesh Karthik played a superb cameo and Virat Kohli scored a splendid century while chasing. Shami and Bhuvi were exceptional at the start and the death but others disappointed, especially the debutant Mohammad Siraj.

Australia has announced its playing XI. Billy Stanlake and Adam Zampa replace Jason Behrendorff (injury) and Nathan Lyon respectively.
Captain Finch, wicketkeeper Alex Carey, Usman Khawaja and Shaun Marsh form the top four.
Peter Handscomb, Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell follow them. Stoinis and Maxwell have been helpful with the ball.
Billy Stanlake and Jhye Richardson will take the new ball.
Peter Siddle remains the third seamer. Adam Zampa, the wristy leg spinner, will be the primary spinner of the team.
India:
Both KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya have been suspended and will not take part in the ODI series. Vijay Shankar replaces Hardik Pandya.
The top three remain firm in Rohit-Shikhar-Virat. After the performance in the second ODI, Dinesh Karthik and MS Dhoni are confirmed as well.
Ambati Rayudu has failed in both the ODIs but the team management is likely to persist with him with World Cup coming up.
Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav will be primary spin options. Bhuvneshwar and Shami form the skillful pace pair.
Mohammad Siraj was wayward on his debut in the 2nd ODI. He may get replaced Khaleel who played in the first ODI. Vijay Shankar is another option available for the selectors.
