Hello and Welcome to our preview for Auckland Aces vs Wellington Firebirds match. We are covering AUK vs WEL Dream 11 Team Prediction, Preview and Probable Playing XI for the Super Smash 2018-19 match. The match is to be played at the Basin Reserve, Wellington.
Auckland Aces haven’t had the greatest of luck in this year’s Super Smash. They have played the least amount of matches, five, and two of them have been washouts. They will now play back to back matches. Wellington is one step ahead with two wins from six matches.
After consecutive losses, Auckland’s last match was washed out against Otago Volts. They had begun tremendously well with Martin Guptill and Glenn Phillips blazing all guns. When the rain intervened Aces had reached 117/1 in 11 overs with Guptill 62(37) and Phillips 43(23). The star-studded team will seek a comeback.
Wellington conceded a 12-run loss to the table-toppers Northern Knights in their last match. Three-wicket haul from Ollie Newton and Jeetan Patel’s tidy bowling had kept NK down to 157/7. Firebirds then failed to reach the target despite top knocks from Adam Hose and Tom Blundell.
