With the series already under the grasps of Australia Youth, both teams will contest in the last match of the series at the same venue i.e. Peter Burge Oval in Brisbane for one last time. After the first two ODIs producing no results due to rain, Australia reigned supreme in the next two games as they secured wins by 9 runs and 7 wickets.
In the fourth ODI, despite a brilliant ton from the acting skipper Rhys Mariu (100 off 122, 6 fours, 2 sixes) New Zealand Youth could only manage 191 runs on the board before being bundled out for 191 in 44.3 overs. James Pike and Ryan Walker were the picks of the bowlers scalping 3 wickets each.
Australia Youth’s chase was led by Max Clayton and skipper Mackenzie Harvey who stood tall for 92 and 54* respectively to hand Australia Youth a match and a series triumph.
