Andre Russell was in stunning form with both bat and ball in the IPL last year. He lit up the tournament in his own blitzkrieg way by striking each and every bowler to all parts. In fact he finished the tournament as the MVP – Most Valuable Player despite not qualifying for the playoffs. This year though he has not yet fired with the bat and his wife has had to bear the wrath of it.

Jassym Lora, the wife of Andre Russell is not accompanying her spouse for the current tournament because of well known reasons. Most of the players have travelled to UAE without their families due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the previous seasons, she was a regular attendee in the Eden Gardens stadium cheering her husband and his teammates along with other WAGs of fellow teammates.

One fan who is clearly upset about the fact that Andre Russell is not in the best of nick and the fact that he’s not able to witness Jassym Lora in the stand has taken to Instagram comments to troll the wife of the cricketer. He wrote –“ Jassym aunty please go to Dubai Russell is not in good form”. Jassym Lora shut the troller with a response saying –“ He’s in the best form..”
Andre Russell as mentioned earlier hasn’t set the stage on fire yet. He’s had scores of 11, 24, 13 and 2 in his four outings so far. He failed to register a big innings even after getting ample time to get set in the middle overs and then launch at the end. On the bowling front though he’s put up decent performances. His role has been to bowl the death overs and he’s done that admirably for his captain executing the Yorkers bouncers and slower ones according to the fields.
Recently, couple of days back he came into the attack in the 18th over when CSK needed 39 runs in 3 overs but gave away just 3. And then he returned to close out the game in the last over by defending 25 runs easily. Although fans of the KKR franchise are happy for his bowling they all will be hoping to see him get big scores in extraordinary strike rate as people know he’s capable of such feats.
