Pakistan was stunned by a clinical performance from Indian team. Their batting department failed leading to a low total of 162. Babar Azam and S Malik were the only positives with bat scoring 47 and 43 runs respectively. No bowler was able to put India in pressure and thus leading to loss by 8 wickets for Pakistan. They will hope to make a comeback tomorrow against confident Afghanistan.

Afghanistan is enjoying their dream run in 2018 and will hope to continue it against Pakistan. In yesterday’s encounter, they completely overtake Bangladesh in all departments. Batting first, They made a good total of 255 runs due to calm fifty of H Shahidi and brilliant cameos by Rashid and G Naib in death overs. Their spin trio again proved to be their main strength taking six wickets among them at economy below 2 runs per over. With confidence on their side, They can create a tough challenge for Pakistan.

Afghanistan:

They have announced 17 man squad for Asia cup. No changes are expected in the playing XI.

M Shahzad, Inshanullah, Rahmat Shah, Asghar Afghan, H Shahidi and S Shenwari will be the key batsmen. M Nabi and G Naib will play the role of all-rounder for team.

Rashid Khan will lead the spin attack along with Mujeeb and Nabi.This trio can be lethal on Abu Dhabi pitches. S Shenwari can also support them. Aftab Alam will lead the pace attack along with G Naib.

Pakistan:

As per reports, Harish Sohail can play today in place of Asif Ali or Faheem Ashraf.

A 16 man squad has been declared for the Asia Cup. Young Shaheen Afridi or Junaid Khan can come in for wicketless M Amir. Chances for the same are less. Shadab Khan had some fitness issue in last match.

“Shadab has a tight groin as he fell badly in the field. In West Indies he got a couple of back spasms which just sort of reared their head tonight. It’s nothing serious though, nothing that should keep him out of a game” Mickey Arthur

According to their coach Shadab will play. If they want to rest Shadab, then Mohammad Nawaz will come.

F Zaman, I Ul Haq, Babar Azam, S Malik, Asif Ali and S Ahmed will be the key batsmen. F Zaman and I Ul Haq are in brilliant form top of the order. Shadab Khan (if fit) and F Ashraf will do the late hitting for team.

H Ali, M Amir/Shaheen/Junaid Khan, F Ashraf will lead the pace attack along with talented Usman Khan. Shadab Khan (if fit) will be the main spinner along with Shoaib Malik.
