The T10 Abu Dhabi tournament has already produced some spectacular as well as embarrassing moments. From E Lewis smashing 5 sixes in an over to R Mustafa running behind a ball while wearing his jersey, we have seen plenty of drama and if you thought you have seen it all, then you would have been amused to see Sri Lankan bowler Kevin Koththigoda’s bizarre bowling action. In fact, Koththigoda’s action is so strange that even England batsman Tom Banton couldn’t stop laughing after facing him.

The incident happened during the match between Qalandars and Maratha Arabians. Maratha Arabians opened their bowling attack with spin bowler Kevin Koththigoda and the move did surprise the Qalandar opener T Banton and Sharjeel Khan.

Koththigoda is a right-arm leg-break bowler who bowls with a usual bowling action. Banton faced the first ball from the MA bowler and defended it safely from backfoot. However, after playing the ball, he couldn’t hide his amusement and indicated to the non-striker that the bowling action has indeed surprised him.

Things got more interesting as Koththigoda fell flat on his face after delivering the third ball of the over but got up quickly to collect the ball and run-out Banton at the non-striker’s end.
