A captain is always responsible for grooming young talent. To put a step forward in the right direction, a captain should always back youngsters in the side and get the best of their potential.
In his tenure so far, he has backed and groomed the likes of Mayank Agarwal, Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav, Navdeep Saini, and of course Jasprit Bumrah. He has been doing this right from 2016 when he was handed captaincy and the same is expected from him in the near future as well.
